April 29, 2020

We want to give you an update below on the status of the practice during the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are constantly reviewing/updating our procedures using guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA) & Indiana Dental Association (IDA).  Since mid-March, we limited our services to  emergency patients 2 days/week & rescheduled non-emergency & all hygiene appointments.  We will be reopening with our regular hours and services Monday, May 4, 2020.

We need your help to keep our office safe and healthy for you, other patients & our staff.

  • If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, recent loss of smell/taste, &/or difficulty breathing) , we will need reschedule you when recovered.
  • If you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in 2-3 weeks prior to your appointment, we will need to reschedule you.
  • We will call to pre-screen you prior to your appointment date.
  • ONLY patients may arrive at appointments. (If you are parent/guardian, you may enter to check-in, then must return to car.  We will contact you when they are finished.)
  • When you arrive, stay in your car and call us.  We will pre-screen you by phone, then ask you to come in when ready.
  • We WILL be taking your temperature upon your arrival.
  • We have limited seating to 3 chairs to allow safe distancing, but hope to simply walk you back asap.
  • All magazines, coupons, brochures have been removed from lobby to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Only Kleenex, hand sanitizer, and trash can are in lobby.
  • Please use the restroom facilities prior to arrival to limit the amount of cross-contamination in our office.
  • We will be using appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) per CDC/ADA/IDA guidelines and thus our mask/attire may look a bit different to you, but we are the same caring professionals underneath.  Should our supply run low, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
  • In an effort to be more efficient with adding these changes, we may need to move your appointment slightly.  We thank you in advance for your understanding.
  • We will post signage on our entry door for you to follow prior to entry. This may get updated periodically, so please read upon each entry.

Thanks for your patience & understanding while we all work together to make your dental health treatments as safe and efficient for you, other patients & our staff.  Appointments times are very valuable right now.  Should you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us immediately/48 hours prior.

We will not only get through this, but we will emerge stronger after it!

Sincerely,

Steve Douglas DDS & Staff
