Meet Dr. Steve Douglas, DDS
Dr. Douglas graduated in the top 8% of his dental school class at Indiana University’s School of Dentistry making him eligible for the national honors dental fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He is also proud of his memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Indiana (IDA) and Indianapolis (IDDS) dental associations. Dr. Douglas has been in practice at his current location since 1991 and has continued his education with hundreds of hours of classroom and clinical studies.
Dr. Douglas has been married to Heather since 1992 and has two children Breck and Timothy. Always one to work with his hands, Dr. Douglas is constantly on the hunt for his next around-the-house project. He also enjoys traveling (especially to beaches), golf, and water activities.

April - hygienist
Originally from Anderson, IN, April attended IU Bloomington and the IU School of Dentistry. She has worked with Dr Douglas since 1992.
While enhancing patient's oral-health, April has been able to really get to know her families. She has truly enjoyed meeting and treating the children and grandchildren of those families too!
April married her high school sweetheart, John, and they are the proud parents of triplets: Taylor, Andrew, and Madison. She enjoys walking, biking, working in her yard and spending time with family and friends.
cassidy - Lead & Expanded functions dental assistant
Cassidy joined us in October 2021. She attended IUPUI to with a Bachelors in general studies & then graduated from Franklin Dental Assisting School September 2021. She earned her EFDA certification in April 2024.
Outside the office, Cassidy likes to spend her time hanging out with friends, family & her dogs.
DESTINY - EXPANDED FUNCTIONS DENTAL ASSISTANT
Destiny joined us again February 2025. She graduated from Franklin Dental Assisting School in September 2021 and earned her EFDA certification in November 2022.
In her free time, she enjoys finding projects around the house and spending time with family and friends!
Kaydance - Front Office receptionist & Dental Assistant
Kaydance joined us in February 2024. She graduated in March 2024 from the Dental Assistant School of Indianapolis. Her welcoming & professional demeanor and strong organization skills earned her a role in front office in February 2025 & easily helps in DA role as needed. She is the 1st smiling face you see when you arrive.
Before coming here, Kaydance was a shift manager at a restaurant. In her freetime, she is learning guitar.
Emily - hygienist
Emily did her college studies at the University of Southern Indiana graduating in 1998 with an Associate degree in Science and in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Science focusing on Dental Hygiene Education. She has worked for Dr Douglas since she graduated and especially enjoys using dental hygiene instruction to help patients enjoy better overall health.
Emily enjoys her time away from the office volunteering at her children’s schools and multiple local animal shelters. Her interests include numerous outdoor activities with her husband and children.
Heather - OFFICE Manager/Administrator
Heather provides administrative and consulting services for the practice. Heather has a management degree from IUPUI's Kelley School of Business and brings with her many years’ experience in bank management.
She loves nature, swimming/reading, volunteering in the community & church and playing guitar. Heather really enjoys getting to know all our patients and can help with all your insurance and billing questions.
Wendy - hygienist
Wendy is originally from Fort Wayne, IN where she graduated with her AS in dental hygiene in ’92 and her BS ED in ’95. She also received a certificate in Post Graduate Studies in Preventive and Community Dentistry from the IU School of Dentistry in 2001.
Wendy has worked for Dr. Douglas since October 2000, and really enjoys her role helping patients achieve and maintain their oral health. She loves the relationships that she has formed with her patients over the years and feels that dental hygiene has been a rewarding profession.
Married with two active daughters, Wendy spends her time reading, walking and traveling. She is especially proud to be the mother of a Purdue graduate and a Florida Gulf Coast Eagle!
